Shimla News: HRTC Buses Will Run Less On Local Routes In The Morning On Holi

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 24: On the occasion of Holi, less number of HRTC buses will run on local routes on Monday morning. Operation of HRTC buses on long distance routes will remain normal. HRTC management has instructed all the regional managers to run HRTC buses as per the availability of passengers till 12 noon on the day of Holi. After 12 o’clock, HRTC buses will run on all routes as per the prescribed schedule. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation management has given instructions to take strict action against those doing duty after drinking alcohol on Holi.

Inspection squads of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation will remain active throughout the day. HRTC management has given instructions to the depot not to allow ruckus at bus stands on Holi, no employee should be under the influence of alcohol in the office premises, workshop, bus stand, HRTC staff should not unnecessarily get involved with people playing Holi, Operate HRTC buses in the morning as per the need and availability of passengers, Drivers and conductors should not doing duty under the influence of alcohol.

Drivers and conductors should not consume alcohol while on duty –

HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur said that instructions have been given to the regional managers to give strict instructions to the drivers and conductors not to consume alcohol while on duty. HRTC Buses should not run empty and passengers should be given full care of their convenience.
