Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 08: A 19-year-old youth Manoj sitting on the back seat of the bike has died due to a massive collision between a bike and a car near Patsari in Rohru sub-division of Shimla district. The deceased 19 year old youth Manoj was still studying.

The 19-year-old deceased youth has been identified as Manoj, son of Kishan Chand, resident of village Larkoti. The reason for the entire accident was the carelessness of the bike driver, who narrowly escaped. The deceased Manoj was sitting behind the driver on the bike. Both the deceased Manoj and the bike driver were going from Rohru towards Hatkoti late on Thursday evening.

Due to over speeding, the bike number (HP10B -9829) collided with the Alto car number (HP10A -8315) coming from the front. The bike was being driven by Ravi son of Kalam, resident of village Parsa. Manoj, a 19-year-old youth sitting in the back seat, was badly injured and was brought to Rohru Hospital for treatment. When Manoj condition became serious, he was referred to IGMC, Shimla. But he died on the way.

Rohru Police has registered a case regarding this accident at Rohru Police Station. The post-mortem of the deceased 19-year-old youth Manoj is being conducted.

Rohru police said that the accident occurred due to the mistake of the bike driver. The speed of the bike was fast and the bike was coming from the wrong direction. Due to this accident, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family of deceased Manoj.
