School Children In Seminar

In the last few years, sudden changes in temperature are being seen, the direct impact of which is being seen not only on nature but also on humanity.
The temperature is suddenly increasing in Shimla. Snowfall is also becoming negligible. This is having a negative impact on the agriculture and tourism economy. Action Aid, Shimla Collective and Manav Vikas Sangathan are jointly organizing the three-day Shimla Climate Meet from today on all these burning issues.

Apart from subject experts, school children of Shimla are also participating in the seminar. In this seminar which will run till March 21, there will be discussion on the changes taking place in the environment.
Uma Mahajan, member of Shimla Collective organization, said that in this seminar, climate change and the situations arising due to it will be discussed during three days. The objective of this conference is to make people aware about this subject. After discussion, a draft resolution will be prepared and given to the himachal government.
The disaster that has come to Himachal Pradesh due to climate change is Man-Made. What we read in books and what is taught is different from the real development model. There is a need to fight against this by organizing a mass movement.

On the first day of the seminar, school children of Shimla also shared their views and said that the change in environment is the result of human mistake and due to haphazard construction, nature is being harmed which is also affecting humanity. People need to be aware of this. The economy is also suffering losses as snow is not falling in Shimla and tourists are not coming.
