Foreign Minister Jaishankar said after the Narmada tour that if people promote domestic tourism by sharing their personal experiences about the places they have visited, then the number of international tourists in the country will increase. International tourism will increase only when domestic tourism will increase. Jaishankar said that Narmada has huge tourism potential and it is being connected to Kevadia by road. The world’s tallest statue ‘Statue of Unity’ is located in Kevadia itself. We should promote this place, this area has huge tourism potential. Jaishankar said that when I stopped for dinner last night, I felt as if I was at a ‘hill station’. Jaishankar said that if I tell people that I went to a ‘hill station’ in Gujarat, they will not believe me because they do not associate Gujarat with any ‘hill station’.
