Harsh Mahajan has not lost any election till date. Presently Mahajan is a member of the BJP core group. Harsh Mahajan was one of the close associates of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh and was considered his key strategist. Harsh was MLA from Chamba assembly constituency three times. He was also the Animal Husbandry Minister in the Virbhadra government. He has also been the Chairman of State Cooperative Bank.

How will elections be held if voting is not allowed? An attempt is being made to commit hooliganism from the opposition. CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) team and Haryana Police convoy have taken 5-6 MLAs. Those who have left are being contacted by their families. I urge them to contact their families, there is no need to worry. This is not correct. The Chief Minister said that counting is still being done. You be patient. Congress has complete majority. The result will come soon. The people of Himachal will not tolerate this kind of culture. On cross voting, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the public elected Congress MLAs. But voting against the party, as is coming to the fore, is being seen by the public.
Amidst discussions about cross voting in Rajya Sabha elections, some Congress MLAs have been given CRPF security. These security personnel have been sent by the Central Government. Three of their vehicles reached the Assembly premises and were deployed for the security of the MLAs. There are discussions that six Congress and three independent MLAs have cross-voted. All these MLAs have been taken to Chandigarh in Haryana number vehicle.

Explanation sought from Central Election Commission regarding Sudarshan Bablu vote
The State Election Commission is seeking clarification from the Central Election Commission regarding Sudarshan Bablu vote. Only after that further action will start. The counting of votes is taking place amidst tight security in the Assembly Secretariat premises.
During this, BJP MLAs raised slogans and asked to stop the counting of votes. At present the counting of votes is going on. The results will be declared in some time.

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that MLA Sudarshan Bablu was brought from Hoshiarpur in the CM helicopter to cast his vote. Then he was taken to the polling station in the CM car. This is a violation of the election code of conduct. Complained about this to the Election Commission and demanded that the vote should not be discarded and kept separate. He accused the Congress polling agent of misbehaving with the election officer.
