Protest by Hindu organizations in Mandi today, Section 163 imposed in the city, heavy police force deployed
Mandi, September 13: The matter of demolition of illegal mosque in Mandi city of Himachal Pradesh has gained momentum. Today, people of various Hindu organizations of the city are preparing to take to the streets to protest. The protest will start at 11 am, in which a large number of protesters can participate.
However, the people of the Muslim community have started demolishing the mosque themselves due to its illegal construction, but despite this, Hindu organizations have decided to protest. In view of the protest, the Mandi administration has made tight security arrangements. Section 163 has been imposed in the city and a large number of police forces have been deployed.
Barricading has been done all around the Mandi city. A large number of police forces are deployed near the mosque for security. Every vehicle entering the city is being strictly checked to prevent any untoward incident. Mandi district administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace. The administration says that the situation is being monitored and security forces are fully prepared to ensure that no law and order problem arises. The administration has clarified that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain peace and has appealed to avoid any kind of provocation.
It is not clear at the moment what the Hindu organizations are demanding? But it is being said that a pretense of demolishing a part of the mosque has been made so that the actual illegal occupation can be covered up.
