Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka. After this he addressed a public meeting, where he targeted the Congress fiercely.
He said that India is not only the largest democracy but also the mother of democracy. It was my good fortune that a few years ago I got the opportunity to inaugurate the statue of Lord Basaveshwara in London, but it is unfortunate that in London itself the work of questioning India’s democracy was done.

Prime Minister Modi said that the roots of India’s democracy have been watered by our centuries-old history. No power in the world can harm India’s democratic traditions.
