North India’s first two-day drone conference was organized at Palampur in Kangra district. Five important MoUs worth Rs 200 crore were signed in this.

An MoU was signed with FICCI to promote the use of drones in administration. Apart from this, an agreement was also signed with sky air for unmanned passenger management solution in the state.

Deepak Vaidya, director of Drone tech solutions company, told that the state government has entered into an agreement of Rs 150 crore with his company and drone industry will be set up in the state and centers of excellence will also be opened.

Five hundred people will get employment through this. I have quoted one hundred crore, so we will set up industries, manufacturing plants and chronic excellence facilities.

On this, we are going to manufacture AI technology based program here. So this will be the first unit in Himachal Pradesh, we provide different types of courses inside the Excellent Center to provide employment to many people here because to upskill your skills and within the skill development process, this will help about five hundred people. Every year we want to start this program here for employment.

Sky company official Yashoda Nayak told that the state government has signed a memorandum of understanding to deploy UTM ie unvent traffic management in the state. With the potential for drone activity increasing in the airspace over the region, weather management with the UTM system is vital to ensure the safety of all air traffic.
