Nalagarh Assembly by-election: Congress candidate Hardeep Singh Bawa filed four sets of nomination papers and Parvinder Kaur Bawa filed two sets of nomination papers as a covering candidate.
Solan, June 19: Returning Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Nalagarh Divyanshu Singal said that two nomination papers were filed on Wednesday under the ongoing nomination process for the by-election in 51-Nalagarh Assembly Constituency. He said that on behalf of the Indian National Congress (INC) party, Hardeep Singh Bawa son of Amarjit Singh Bawa, village Dhana, Post Office Bhatian, Tehsil Nalagarh, District Solan filed four sets of his nomination papers in the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Office, Nalagarh on Wednesday. Apart from this, Parvinder Kaur Bawa filed two sets of nomination papers as a covering candidate.
Divyanshu Singal said that the last date for filing nomination papers has been fixed by the Election Commission of India as June 21, 2024.After June 21, 2024, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 24, 2024 and the candidates can withdraw their names till June 26, 2024.He said that the date of July 10, 2024 has been fixed by the Election Commission of India for voting, while the counting of votes will be done on July 13, 2024 by the Election Commission of India.
