Sub Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Karsog Rajkumar
Karsog, 29 June 2024: A special meeting related to natural disaster and cleanliness was organized in the Gram Panchayat Churag office under the chairmanship of Sub Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Karsog Rajkumar.
In the meeting, people raised the issue of waterlogging and water entering the houses due to the first rain of the previous day before the SDM.
The SDM directed the Public Works Department to resolve the problem immediately.
He directed the Public Works Department to make arrangements to prevent soil erosion at those houses which are at risk and also directed the Revenue Department officers to provide tarpaulins to these families and people were told on the spot to spread these tarpaulins in front of their houses so that soil erosion could be prevented.
In the meeting, Vyapar Mandal Churag also raised the problem of garbage coming out of the market before the SDM. Regarding the solution of this problem, the SDM said that Rs 16 lakh has been received for solid waste management in development block Churag and for its solution, 01-10-00 bigha land has been identified in Nagda Mohalla. He directed to set up a garbage management plant on this land.
He said that it should be ensured that the dry waste is collected and sorted and then the plastic is sent to the cement factory.
Apart from this, he instructed the Gram Panchayat to immediately fix a cleaning fee in its meeting and collect the plastic waste. He also instructed the Vyapar Mandal to fully cooperate with the Gram Panchayat and give the list of traders to the Gram Panchayat within 5 days and cooperate with the Panchayat in collecting the fee.

The people also raised the issue of traffic problems before the SDM. Instructions were given to the police department to find a proper solution.
The SDM directed the Public Works Department to solve the problem of taxi drivers. He said that the debris should be removed from the place near the cooperative bank and a place should be marked for parking taxis there.
On this occasion, the SDM also gave detailed information to the people about the damage caused during the rainy season and told that a control room has been set up in sub-division Karsog which works day and night. In times of disaster, information can be given by contacting the control room on telephone number 01907-222236 so that all possible help can be provided to the affected people in time. He said that people should remain alert during the rainy season and should not pay attention to any kind of rumours.
Officers from all departments, Gram Panchayat head Santosh Sharma, Deputy Head Chetan Sharma, President of Vyapar Mandal Churag Dharam Pal Sharma, Hitesh Sharma, Surya Gautam, Som Dutt Sharma along with other dignitaries were present in the meeting.
