The faces of farmers and gardeners have brightened up due to the change in weather once again. Rain is being considered a great lifesaver for the wheat and pea crops growing in the fields as well as for fruit production. Due to the sudden change in the weather, on one hand people had packed their warm clothes due to the rise in temperature, but a single rain forced them to wear them again. There are also reports of damage to crops at many places due to strong winds during inclement weather.

Fire started due to lightning on cedar tree

At around 5.30 am on Saturday morning, near Dev Latogli in Gram Panchayat Shilhanu of Gohar development block, lightning fell on a 200-year-old heavy cedar tree, due to which the tree caught fire. It is fortunate that there is no news of any damage to the house built at a distance of about 40 meters and the people living in it.

Panchayat head Bhim Singh Thakur said that there was no loss of life or property due to lightning in the area, but hundreds of years old cedar trees were badly damaged.

SDM Thunag Lalit Kumar Poswal said that there was snowfall in the religious places of the area Dev Tungasi Garh, Dev Kandha, Shikari Devi and Shaitadhar, while there was rain in the lower areas. Basic facilities like roads, water and electricity continue to remain intact in the area.
