Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, June 06 :In the Lok Sabha elections of Himachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party has got absolute majority for the third time in a row on all four Lok Sabha seats, while on the other hand, the Congress party has suffered a crushing defeat in 61 out of 68 assembly constituencies.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Himachal Pradesh for the spectacular victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party on all four Lok Sabha and two assembly by-election seats of Himachal Pradesh, BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur, while addressing a press conference in the capital Shimla, has taken the ruling Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh to task and said that CM Sukhu should resign on moral grounds before the action of the Congress party high command.
Jairam said that CM Sukhu has lost even in his home Nadaun assembly constituency and the Bharatiya Janata Party has got a lead of 2143 votes from the Nadaun assembly constituency. Jairam said that except the Deputy CM, even 10 ministers could not give the Congress party a lead in their assembly constituencies.
The Leader of Opposition said that the people of Himachal Pradesh once again expressed their trust in PM Modi and gave BJP victory on all four seats.He said that in the years 2014, 2019 and now in the year 2024, BJP has won all the seats in Himachal Pradesh for the third consecutive time.Jairam said that 56.29 percent votes have been registered for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha elections of Himachal Pradesh.
He said that the BJP has got the biggest victory in the Kangra parliamentary constituency, while the Congress party’s big leader Anand Sharma had to face a crushing defeat on the Kangra parliamentary seat itself.
Jairam said that by registering 53 percent votes in her favor, BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut has got a big victory in the Mandi parliamentary constituency.LoP Jairam Thakur said that the Sukhu government of the ruling Congress party of Himachal Pradesh has lost the mandate.
Jairam said that after losing the majority of MLAs in the Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress party has now lost the trust of the people of Himachal Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections as well.
He said that despite the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party is busy celebrating the survival of the government, while no attention is being paid to development works.
Jairam said that CM Sukhu is busy saving his chair only.
The Leader of Opposition said that the resignations of the independent MLAs were not accepted by CM Sukhu in time because the Congress party was afraid of the government falling.
Jairam Thakur said that if the resignations of independent MLAs were accepted by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Kuldeep Singh Pathania before the voting, then Rs 30 crore could have been saved in the by-elections.
The Leader of Opposition said that after the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had claimed to form the government in Himachal Pradesh, which will definitely take some more time, but the fall of the Sukhu government of the Congress Party is definitely certain.
Jairam Thakur said that the final decision of the CPS case is still reserved by the Himachal Pradesh High Court and as soon as the final decision comes, the Sukhu government will immediately come on the verge of collapse.
