On the other hand, according to party sources, the name of Mandi Youth Congress state president Negi Nigam Bhandari has also been included in the discussion as a possible candidate. Negi Nigam Bhandari, resident of district Kinnaur, has been active in Mandi parliamentary constituency for a long time. During the assembly elections, Negi Nigam Bhandari was in the race for Congress party ticket from Kinnaur. However, there is still a possibility of making Kaul Singh Thakur a candidate from Mandi.

Let us tell you, to decide the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress Screening Committee held a brainstorming session in New Delhi on Tuesday. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh and Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri were present in the meeting chaired by Congress Screening Committee Chairman and former Minister of State for Railways Bhakta Charan Das. All four tickets of the Himachal Pradesh can be decided in the meeting of the Central Election Committee this week. It was agreed to brainstorm after a few days regarding by-elections in six assembly constituencies.

Congress party sources said that a panel has been prepared in the names of Dayal Pyari, Amit Nanda, Kaushal Mungta and Yashpal Tanaik from Shimla parliamentary seat. In such a situation, there is speculation that Congress may also decide on Dayal Pyari as its candidate to divide the votes of Sirmour. Asha Kumari, Karan Pathania, Sanjay Chauhan and retired Major General DVS Rana are being seen as possible candidates from Kangra parliamentary seat. Congress is still stuck in a dilemma regarding deciding the candidate from Hamirpur parliamentary seat. The names of Ramlal Thakur and Satpal Raizada have emerged from Hamirpur parliamentary seat. However, eyes are on who the Chief Minister will decide to field from his home parliamentary constituency Hamirpur.

Never applied to contest Lok Sabha elections: Ramlal Thakur –

At the same time, senior Congress leader and former minister Ramlal Thakur has said that he never applied to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Whenever the Congress Party has given responsibility, he has fulfilled it. Former minister Ramlal Thakur did not reveal his cards regarding contesting elections from Hamirpur parliamentary seat and said that the Congress high command has the right to decide the candidate. There is a churning going on in Delhi regarding tickets. Soon the picture in this regard will become clear. While maintaining silence regarding the by-elections to be held in six assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, Ramlal Thakur cited that the case of ineligible MLAs is in the Supreme Court.
