Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi reviewed the relief and rehabilitation works with the district officials. He told that soon Aapda Mitra will be made in all panchayats, in which training will be given to the members of Mahila Mandal and Yuvak Mandal. Equipment will also be made available for relief and rescue operations.

He instructed the officer to expedite the work of laying severge line in Keylong market. Along with this, the officers of the departments were also instructed to assess the damage caused by the disaster as soon as possible and report to the government.

Earlier, Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi was welcomed in a traditional manner by local MLA Ravi Thakur and local people on reaching Rohtang at Atal tunnel.

On this occasion, Jagat Singh Negi also met the people of panchayats sitting on dharna and gradual fast in protest against TCP act in Shishu village. People gave memorandum to the minister and demanded not to bring their area under TCP act.
