Kullu News: Road To MLA Ravi Thakur’s House Closed, Forest Department Took Action On Illegal Encroachment
The Forest Department has closed the road to the house of Lahaul-Spiti MLA Ravi Thakur, who was expelled from the membership of the Assembly. However, the footpath has been kept in place. But the Forest Department has taken this action as per the decision of the DFO court to remove illegal encroachment. But this action is being linked to the political turmoil in Himachal for the last two days. Forest range officer Chet Ram and forest guard Lalit on Thursday blocked the road leading to the house of MLA Ravi Thakur in Rangri, Manali.

Here the Forest Department had already created a riot in the middle of the road. Today the road was closed again after it was repaired. Range Officer Chet Ram said that the department had taken a decision in the DFO court to remove the encroachment in 2022. The department had removed illegal encroachment here in May 2023 and closed the road by creating a riot. After this he was appointed adjacent to the Division Commissioner. But its period ended on 2 February. Under which today again we went to the spot and repaired the pit erected to free the illegal encroachment and the encroachment was freed.
