Kullu News : So far, a relief amount of Rs 9 crore has been distributed to 3,000 flood-affected families in Kullu district. Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said that along with the administration, many social organizations are also providing ration and other items to help the affected.
He told that 625 residential houses have been completely damaged by the flood in the district while more than 1500 houses have been partially damaged. Apart from this, the cow sheds of three hundred and seventy seven families have also been damaged in the flood.
He said – If we talk about the total loss in Kullu district so far, as far as the loss of private properties is concerned, there are six hundred and twenty five such families whose houses have been completely damaged, there are fifteen hundred and eighty one such families. Those whose houses have been partially damaged, whether they have minor damage or very severe damage
There are 370 families whose cattle sheds have been damaged. There are 375 families whose commercial complexes i.e. dhabas or shops have been damaged and 451 are tenants. They have suffered loss and they are not able to live there now, so all these who are our family, the relief amount which is more than nine crores has been distributed by the administration so far.
And now there is an estimation of about three crores that this much relief amount has to be given and if we talk in total then there are about three thousand families who have been directly affected in this tragedy.
