Kullu News : Due to landslides in Bandal and Koshunala villages of Tetan valley of Banjhar sub-division of Kullu district, both these villages are in danger of being destroyed.

More than 20 houses in these villages have developed huge cracks, making them unsafe. The people living in these houses have now taken shelter with their relatives.

According to the information, the hill is collapsing in a radius of about five kilometers in this entire area, due to which there has been huge damage to the houses, lands and gardens of the people.

The affected people have demanded a safe place for them from the government and the administration. Along with this, the affected families have also demanded the government to conduct a survey of this mountain by geologists so that the reasons for the land subsidence can be known and in future any Tragedy can be prevented.

A resident said – Due to sliding, full cracks have come and twenty-five houses of people have been damaged who are living in other’s houses. People have become homeless. Government should make proper compensation and accommodation arrangements for them.

At the same time, the local people say that if landslides and rains continue like this, then definitely we will have to leave our houses and we all request the government to provide land for us to live as soon as possible.
