Kullu Police Teams have recovered a consignment of five kilos and five grams of Charas from an elderly man in Banjar of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.
The police took this action on Friday night during patrolling near Tila bridge ahead of Batahad.
The police have arrested the elderly man by registering a case under the NDPS Act.
This year, this is the highest consignment of Charas recovered.
Where did the old man bring the Charas from? Inquiries have been started regarding this.
SP Kullu Dr. Karthikeyan Gokulchandran said that the police is alert about Charas smuggling and all police stations and outposts have been asked to increase blockade and patrolling.
