Rampur Bushahr – Apple season is in full swing these days in the entire Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. In Himachal Pradesh, farmers and gardeners are very happy due to getting good prices for apple crops during the monsoon season. Till now, a consignment of nine lakh fifty five thousand three hundred ninety eight boxes of apples has been sent from Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh to the markets of Himachal Pradesh and the markets of India.
Kinnauri apples, world famous for their taste and quality in India and abroad, have established their own identity.
Apple is the main source of income for farmers, gardeners and laborers of Kinnaur district.
These days the apple season is in full swing in Kinnaur district, due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness among the farmers and gardeners as the gardeners of Kinnaur district are getting better prices for apples this year.
Till now, in Kinnaur district, consumption of apples worth nine lakh fifty five thousand rupees and three hundred ninety nine boxes have been sent to the mandis of Himachal Pradesh and the mandis of India.
The most important thing is that apple season is in full swing in Kalpa, Pooh and Nichar blocks of tribal district Kinnaur.
All the gardeners of Kinnaur district are getting an income of Rs 1700 and Rs 3000 per box of apples at home.
A gift pack of apples from Kinnaur district is being sold at an income of up to Rs 1200. The faces of gardeners and farmers of Kinnaur district are beaming with happiness.
So far, apples worth nine lakh fifty five thousand rupees and three hundred ninety nine boxes of apples have been sent from Kalpa, Nichar and Pooh sections of Kinnaur district to the apple markets of Himachal Pradesh and all the markets of India.
In Kinnaur district, 53 thousand 703 boxes of apples have been sent to the mandis via Chango via Manali.
This year, a total estimated cost of about 24 lakh boxes of apples has been produced in Kinnaur district, whereas in the previous years, 41 lakh 66 thousand 200 boxes of apples were produced in Kinnaur district, in view of which the heart-wrenching rains in Himachal Pradesh. Due to landslides and floods, there will be less production of 17 lakh boxes of apples.
Due to which the main reason is being directly attributed to the bad weather of Himachal Pradesh.
Due to change in the weather of Himachal Pradesh and continuous change in temperature, apple crops have been produced less this year as compared to previous years.
In Kinnaur district, apple crops were affected due to continuous drop in temperature during flowering period.
But despite less production of apple crops this year in Kinnaur district, gardeners and farmers of Kinnaur district are getting the best prices for apples.
Kinnaur district gardeners Kuldeep Negi, Mahendra Negi, Arun Negi, Deepak Negi, Divya Negi, Rajkamal Negi, Surjit Negi told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the production of apple crops has reduced in the entire Kinnaur district, but gardeners and farmers. Apples are getting better prices in Mandi district, due to which the faces of gardeners and farmers are happy.
Kinnaur district has so far sent three hundred ninety nine boxes worth nine lakh fifty five thousand rupees to the markets of Himachal Pradesh and various markets of India. It is estimated that about twenty-four lakh boxes of apples will be produced in Kinnaur district this year.
