Reckong Peo, July 9: The mortal remains of martyred Havildar Rohit Negi of Taranda village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh reached his native village on Tuesday after nine months. Let us tell you that in the first week of October 2023, during an operation on the Kashmir border, martyred Havildar Rohit Negi was buried in an avalanche along with his companions after being caught in a blizzard. At that time, the body of one of his companions was found, but Rohit Negi and other companions were buried in the snow.

After nine months, the Indian Army recovered the body of Rohit Negi, son of Amar Singh, three days ago.

Martyr Rohit Negi sacrificed his life while serving on the Kashmir border. The Indian Army brought his body from Kargil to Leh on July 8. From there it was taken to Chandigarh and then to Choling. From Choling, the body was brought to his native village Taranda by vehicle. Martyr Rohit Negi was cremated with full military honors on Tuesday.
