Opposition to the Kikar-Navgaon drinking water scheme being built in Ali Khad at Trivenighat on the border of Bilaspur-Solan district is continuously increasing. Hundreds of villagers and Panchayat representatives of dozens of Panchayats were present in the Mahapanchayat called by the Sangharsh Committee on Saturday. To maintain law and order at the spot, Bilaspur police administration has deployed a large number of police forces including QRT.
On the other hand, contractors and workers have not arrived on Saturday for the construction of Kikar-Navgaon drinking water scheme.
Sangharsh Committee officials and Panchayat representatives addressed the villagers and farmers in the Mahapanchayat.
After this, the next strategy of the movement is going to be made by the committee officials and Panchayat representative.
