Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has congratulated Vice Admiral Lochan Singh Pathania, a native of Ward No. 5 of Shahpur Nagar Panchayat area of Kangra district, on assuming the charge of Chief Hydrographer of the Government of India.
The Hydrographic Department of the Indian Navy acts as the nodal agency for hydrographic surveys and navigational charts. Earlier, Vice Admiral Lochan Singh Pathania has also commanded the Indian Navy’s hydrographic survey ships INS ‘Darshak’ and ‘Sandhayak’.
During his service period of more than three decades, Vice Admiral Lochan Singh Pathania has distinguished himself with work related to hydrography.
