Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Kangra, May 13:An ex-serviceman from Nandpur Bhatoli village of Haripur police station area of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has committed suicide by hanging himself. According to the neighbours, the ex-serviceman had hanged himself by tying a rope in the wooden scaffolding of his own house last Monday night.Then on Tuesday morning, after seeing the ex-serviceman hanging, the neighbor informed the Haripur police station in-charge about the entire matter.After which Haripur police station in-charge reached the spot with his team and registered a case and is investigating all aspects.

Neighbors told the police that the man had a rift with his wife over some issue, after which the wife accused her husband of assault and fighting at night, due to which the man was arrested by the police.
Haripur Police has brought down the body of the person from the noose with the help of local people and sent it to Dehra Hospital for post-mortem.
The ex-serviceman has been identified by Haripur police station in-charge as Swaroop Singh Randhawa, aged sixty-one years, son of Sagar Singh Randhawa, resident of Nandpur Bhatoli village. Neighbors told the police that Swaroop Singh Randhawa used to beat his wife after drinking alcohol. DSP Dehra Anil Kumar said that the body of the ex-serviceman has been brought to Dehra hospital for postmortem. Harpur police station in-charge registered a case under CrPC section 174 and conducted a strict investigation.Â
