Under the Tribal Area Development Program run by the Himachal Pradesh Government, an amount of Rs 857 crore will be spent in Himachal Pradesh. Under the ‘Vibrant Village’ programme, a target has been set for all-round development of all the Gram Panchayats situated in the tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh. Complete information has been provided by Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi after the review meeting of Tribal Development Department of Himachal Pradesh Government on Saturday. Tribal Development Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, Jagat Singh Negi said that free education is being provided to all the tribal students studying in four Eklavya Model Residential Schools of Himachal Pradesh. In the coming 2023-24 year, 24,794 Tribal students have been admitted in the four Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Under the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Vikas Karya, work is being done to provide livelihood to the tribal people of Himachal Pradesh by using all the natural resources through four Van Dhan Vikas Kendras being run in Himachal Pradesh.

In the review meeting of Tribal Development Department of Himachal Pradesh Government, Professor Joginder Singh Dhiman, Chief Director of Pre-Examination Coaching Center for all Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) also met Jagat Singh Negi, Tribal Development Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government. Joginder Singh Dhiman, Chief Director of Pre-Examination Coaching Center was also informed Jagat Singh Negi about all the facilities provided to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU). Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi has said that to provide best facilities to all the tribal people of Himachal Pradesh, construction work of tribal buildings has been started in Noorpur as well as Rampur. During the review meeting of Tribal Development Department, Joint Secretary Tribal Development Dr. Vikram Singh Negi, Joint Director Tribal Development Kailash Chauhan, Registrar of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Dr. Virendra Sharma along with all other officers of Himachal Pradesh Tribal Development Departmen was also present.
