Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, March 10: After several days of controversy regarding Naga and Aghori sadhus in Baba Bhootnath Jaleb, This Jaleb was taken out with much fanfare on Sunday without Naga and Aghori sadhus. Baba Bhootnath Jaleb Starting from the banks of Vyas river, circling the city of Mandi, Baba Bhootnath Jaleb again ended on the banks of Vyas river .
Let us tell you that there was a controversy for the last several days regarding the participation of Naga and Aghori sadhus in the Jaleb of Baba Bhootnath during Shivratri festival. The people of Mandi city were also divided into two parts regarding this issue. Some people wanted to include Naga Sadhus while some were opposing it citing the tradition and culture of Chhoti Kashi. After which the local administration, citing public sentiments, had said that Naga Sadhus should not participate in the Jaleb. On Sunday, the second day of the International Shivratri Festival, a procession of Baba Bhootnath was taken out in Chhoti Kashi without Aghori and Naga sadhus.

Along with the devotees, sages and saints also participated in this Jaleb of Baba Bhootnath. In Jaleb, devotees roamed around the entire Mandi city dancing to the hymns of Lord Bholenath. On this occasion, Mahant Devanand Saraswati of Baba Bhootnath Temple said that this Jaleb has been organized with the cooperation of everyone. The entire city was circumambulated through this Jaleb. At the same time, blessings of Bhole Baba were also given to the people. Mahant Devanand Saraswati told that after many obstacles, this Jaleb has been taken out in the city. Every year the Jaleb of Baba Bhootnath will be taken out in the same manner.

Let us tell you that during Shivratri festival, two jalebs of Baba Bhootnath are taken out separately in Chhoti Kashi Mandi. The first Jaleb is taken out on the day of Mahashivratri and the second Jaleb is taken out on the second day of the International Shivratri Festival.
