Today, in a meeting organized in Shimla regarding the preparations for Kullu Dussehra, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the body gathering is related to Kullu Dussehra will play an important role in bringing the state’s tourism back on track.

He said that Himachal has suffered huge losses due to the disaster during this monsoon rains and the tourism sector has also been badly affected due to huge losses in Kullu district.

The Chief Minister said that the state is now emerging from the disaster and tourists can visit the state including Kullu without any fear.

There was a disaster in Kullu. I am very thankful to all the people of Kullu, all the officials of Kullu and Himachal Pradesh government that very soon we controlled this disaster and now the preparations for the grand Kullu Dussehra will start and this Kullu Dussehra For the first time, tourists from twenty countries will come, troops from twenty countries will participate and troops from twenty countries like South America’s Panama is coming, African countries’ Ghana, Ethiopia etc. are coming, European countries are coming, and states.

Troops are also coming. Kullu Dussehra was very important for us from tourism point of view. We worked hard day and night to repair the roads. Now Kullu Dussehra is ready to welcome tourists, Manali is ready, Rohtang tunnel is ready. I request all the tourists that you can now come to Himachal in maximum numbers. We were troubled by the weather and disaster for the last two to two and a half months. Now we have got control over it.

Deputy Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Anju Ranjan was also present in the meeting. She said that cultural groups from twenty countries are being sent for Dussehra, for which a request has also been received from the state government.

We have MoU with every state and on the basis of that MoU we help them. So it is in this MOU that whenever any event is organized in the state and the state requests us to provide us cultural troupes from outside.

If you do, then coincidentally at the same time our international dance and music festival is being held in October. At least thirty and forty cultural troops are coming to Delhi on 18th, 19th and 20th. So out of that, we decided to have twenty cultural troops.

That this will be given to Himachal Pradesh to participate in Kullu Dussehra, as you have seen that the Honorable Chief Minister and the rest of the team are very excited. We all are very excited because for the first time such a large number of people will come from foreign countries And will participate here.

Kullu tourism will be revived through Kullu Dussehra, so it is a very good thing for us too.
