Shimla, September 03: Husband-wife duo was seen on Tuesday in the ongoing monsoon session of the Assembly in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. This was the first time that CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his wife Kamlesh Thakur were seen together in the House and the atmosphere of the House remained cheerful. Congress MLA Kamlesh Thakur participated in the proceedings of the House for the first time today. Kamlesh Thakur was elected from Dehra in the recent assembly by-election. She did not reach the assembly session earlier due to mourning at home.

Earlier, opposition member and BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti jokingly said that the Chief Minister should be careful in the House. Today Bhabhi ji has also come to the House and if we say something in front of Bhabhi ji, she will tell you that she will not come to the House because you are also surrounded a lot in the House. After this, Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania welcomed Congress MLA Kamlesh Thakur. As soon as Chief Minister Sukhu stood up to speak to answer the debate going on to remove the tension between the ruling party and the opposition, he said that do not try to scare by taking the name of the wife. The opposition has also taken the name of the wife. As soon as Sukhu said this, Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said that it was not felt that you are afraid of your wife. There was a lot of laughter in the house on this.

The pleasant thing was that the proceedings of the house today went on in a cordial atmosphere and the deadlock between the opposition and the speaker ended. Yesterday the opposition had opened a front against the speaker. Today the attitude of the opposition softened and their members did not create ruckus and sloganeering in the house. Leader of the House and Chief Minister Sukhu assured the opposition that the ruling party is ready to have every discussion in the house and every question of the opposition will be answered. The Chief Minister (CM) clarified the government’s position on various issues raised by the opposition and said that the government is ready to discuss every issue, so the opposition should cooperate in running the session smoothly. He also said that the Speaker of the Assembly has given a lot of time to the opposition. He said that the House runs by rules. The Chief Minister said that if the opposition had raised its issues in the right manner, then there would have been no deadlock.

Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said that during the six assembly sessions held so far, his conduct has been completely impartial. He said that the role of the opposition is the most important in democracy. That is why he especially gives more time to the Leader of the Opposition. Pathania said that he believes in democracy and he runs the House by taking everyone into confidence. After the Question Hour, Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania introduced Kamlesh Thakur to the House and welcomed her.
