Huge increase in the number of tourists this year in Kullu-Manali
Due to the summer holidays in many states of North India, tourists are reaching Kullu Manali in large numbers. This year 2.5 lakh tourist vehicles reached Manali through the green tax barrier in Kullu Manali.
Tourism Development Officer from Kullu to Kullu, Sunaina Sharma told that a large number of tourists from all over the country are reaching Kullu Manali in the month of June this year as compared to last year. He said that last year three lakh tourist vehicles reached Kullu Manali whereas So far this year, 2.5 lakh tourist vehicles have reached Kullu Manali.
So this time the arrival of our tourists is very big, the increase has been very high because this year the total number of our tourist vehicles which is around 3.25 lakh reached Kullu Manali area whereas this time only in the month of June. Whatever this figure is, ours has already reached close to 2.5 lakh.
So definitely the number of tourists has increased a lot, in this Kullu Manali where there has been a huge increase in the number of tourists, along with that the state government has also got good income from the green tax barrier, Sunaina Sharma said. That more than two lakh forty eight thousand vehicles have passed through the green tax barrier so far, out of which the government has received a revenue of four crore fifteen lakh rupees in the form of green fees.
Due to the continuous increase in the number of tourists, tourism businessmen are also getting a lot of benefits. The figures that we have collected earlier, so far June 2,23, which is till tomorrow, we have about 2,48,000 vehicles which have reached Manali and if we talk about the revenue, then till June this year. The revenue of which is close to 4.25 crores, which has reached our green tax barrier.
If we talk about 2,220, about 3.25 lakh vehicles came here in the whole year and our revenue was about 2.57 crore, which is the revenue we earned for the whole year.
In 2021, the vehicles which are close to 2.25 lakh came to us and the revenue which is close to 5.5 crore was earned. And thus Kullu Manali is still seeing a huge amount of tourists.
