In Himachal Pradesh, the trial of the software developed by HRTC for making online bus passes for college students has been successful. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation management has first decided to provide the facility of online bus pass to the students of the capital Shimla.
In the second phase, HRTC management is going to provide online bus pass facility to the students of all the colleges of Himachal Pradesh. Now students will not have to leave classes and stand in queues for hours to make online bus passes. Plans are being made to make all 60 pass counters of HRTC online in Himachal Pradesh.
To start the facility of making online bus passes, a trial was conducted in front of the college managements of Shimla on Thursday. College representatives have also been given information about the software. Representatives of Shimla’s St. Bedes, Sanjauli, Kotshera, Sanskrit College Fagli, Evening College, RKMV have assured cooperation on the initiative of HRTC.
On this occasion, HRTC General Manager Pankaj Singhal, Divisional Manager Shimla Pawan Sharma, Regional Manager Shimla Local Vinod Sharma were present.
Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that college students are being provided the facility to make bus passes online.
This is how HRTC’s online bus pass will be made –
To make online bus pass, college students will have to visit the link available on the official website of HRTC. college students will have to fill the form given on the official website. Along with this, the student will also have to upload photo and college identity card. After this the student’s form will reach the college principal. After verification by the Principal, the application will come to the concerned HRTC Regional Manager. After completing the formalities from the HRTC Regional Manager, the student will be informed through SMS for online bus pass. Students will be able to pay the fare for online bus pass by online payment apps. After this, a link will be sent to the student’s email to download the HRTC online bus pass. The HRTC online bus pass can be downloaded and printed through the email link.
HRTC will also provide online bus pass information through QR code –
HRTC has also provided the facility of QR code in online bus passes. The conductor can also check the verification of the student’s bus pass by scanning the QR code. On scanning the QR code, the validity of the student’s photo, college identity card and pass will be known.
