Many home stays as well as rest houses in Kullu district, which were devastated and closed after the heart-wrenching natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh, are fully prepared to welcome the tourists as the locks of rest houses are being opened once again. Along with the tourist city Manali of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, lakhs of tourists have also reached Parvati Valley, Jibhi, Sissu, Koksar, Tirthan Valley for picnic on the wonderful occasion of Christmas festival. At present, due to natural disaster, very less number of tourists were coming to Parvati Valley of Kullu district. With the sudden arrival of thousands of vehicles at the tourist places of Kullu district and the increase in the number of tourists, the tourism business of Kullu district has completely raised hopes for good business.

Due to the weekend which started in Himachal Pradesh from Friday, December 22, the entire Kullu district has once again become full of tourists. Along with the crowd of lakhs of tourists gathered to celebrate the Christmas festival, there has been a huge surge in online home stay and rest house bookings in view of the celebrations of New Year 2024. Due to the Christmas festival, thousands of tourists have walked several kilometers to see the snow sheets from height. Due to huge traffic jam on the roads of Sissu and Koksar in Lahaul Spiti district, tourists have to walk from five hundred meters to one kilometer to reach there. Due to the jam of huge number of vehicles at Jalori Pass, a large number of tourists are walking two kilometers to see the snow sheets from the height.

Tosh, Barshaini, Katagla, Kalga, Jari, Manikarna, Kasol, Malana, Sojha, Jalodi Pass, Raghupurgarh, Jibhi, Ghiyagi, Bahu, Gushaini of Parvati of Kullu district, Shairopa located near the Great Himalayan National Park, Batahad, Manali, Hamta. Both the ends of Atal Tunnel Rohtang are buzzing with the number of tourists. Kishan Thakur, president of Manikarna Valley Hotel Association of Kullu district, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that after long years, Manikarna Valley has started seeing a revival in the number of tourists. Also, Kishan Thakur said that around six thousand vehicles have entered Manikaran Valley from December 22nd to December 25th.

The danger of JN-1 variant of Corona increased due to the huge crowd of lakhs of tourists –

The crowd of lakhs of tourists gathered to celebrate the Christmas festival and New Year festival has increased the problems of Himachal Pradesh Health Department. In many states of India, the JN-1 variant of Corona virus has started capturing people.

Due to the crowd of lakhs of tourists gathered in Himachal Pradesh, an alert has been issued by the Himachal Pradesh Health Department with immediate effect in the entire Himachal Pradesh. Tourists from outside states are being advised not to go to crowded areas.

Lakhs of tourists from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Amritsar and West Bengal are reaching the tourist places of Himachal Pradesh. Due to which the Himachal Pradesh Health Department has also started worrying that the new JN-1 variant may start spreading in Himachal Pradesh due to the huge crowd. At present, in order to take precautions for the tourists, Himachal Pradesh Health Department has started the process of getting RTPCR test done for patients suspected of JN-1 variant in all the district hospitals.
