Rohtang Pass as well as the highest peaks of the Chandrabhaga range have received heavy snowfall. The weather remained continuously bad in Kullu-Manali and Lahaul-Spiti valley on Thursday night. Due to bad weather, continuous heavy snowfall has been recorded in Rohtang Pass as well as Baralacha Pass, Kunjam Pass, Seven Sister Peak, Hanuman Tibba. Due to heavy snowfall in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, along with severe cold, the outbreak of cold wave is also increasing in all the low-lying areas.

On the other hand, due to heavy snowfall, tourism activities in Kullu-Manali and Lahaul-Spiti have also started increasing. Due to severe cold in Lahaul-Spiti district, local people have been forced to hide in their homes. The severity of cold is continuously increasing in Himachal Pradesh. The minimum mercury was also recorded at minus degree Celsius in Samdo and Seubagh on Thursday night by IMD Shimla. The minimum temperature in six areas was recorded at minus degrees Celsius on Wednesday night. In most areas of Himachal Pradesh, the cold weather is continuously increasing from morning to evening. Minor respite from mild sunshine during day time in most of the low lying areas of Himachal Pradesh has also been recorded by IMD Shimla.

Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted clear weather in entire Himachal Pradesh till December 20. Due to which, the nights of the people of Himachal Pradesh’s hilly districts Una, Solan and Mandi district have been recorded by IMD Shimla as colder than the capital Shimla. Whereas the maximum temperature In Dhaula Kuan was 23.1 degrees Celsius, The maximum temperature in Sundernagar assembly constituency was 22.9 degrees Celsius, The maximum temperature in Una district was 22.8 degrees Celsius, The maximum temperature in Solan district was 22.0 degrees Celsius, The maximum temperature in Kangra district was 21.8 degrees Celsius, In Dharamshala assembly constituency Maximum temperature 21.0 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature in Bhuntar assembly constituency 20.7 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature in Nahan-Mandi area 19.0 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature in Chamba district 17.9 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature in capital Shimla 15.4 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature in Kalpa 13.3 degrees Celsius. Along with 7.1 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature in Keylong has been recorded by the Meteorological Centre, Shimla.
