The lower hills, such as Kangra and Hamirpur, had light rain but are expected to stay dry tomorrow. Middle hills, including Shimla and Solan, experienced scattered rain, while the higher hills like Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti remained dry. The temperature has been higher than normal, with Kukumseri being the coldest at 6.3°C and Una the hottest at 41.4°C. Rainfall varied significantly, with Pachhad receiving the highest at 15mm. Keylong remains the coolest spot today, and Kangra the hottest. In the Lahaul and Spiti region, clear skies and accessible roads are reported, though advisories are in place for certain routes. Travelers should be cautious due to potential weather changes, with a travel advisory active for the ATR route from North Portal to Gramphu.

Today in Himachal Pradesh, expect a mix of partly cloudy skies and light rain in some areas. Shimla will have a partly cloudy sky with haze, low visibility, and a chance of light rain. Mandi will also see partly cloudy skies and low visibility. Nahan will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in isolated places in Solan, Shimla, and Sirmaur, with a yellow alert issued for these areas. Light rain is also possible in isolated places in Kangra, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur, and Shimla.

Over the past 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh experienced light rain and thunderstorms in some areas. Today, there was no major snowfall, but several areas experienced rain. Pachhad received the most rain with 15mm. Pandoh, Sundarnagar, Kothi, Sainj, Sarahan, and Slapper each received 1mm of rain. Rajgarh had 14mm, Solan 13mm, Dharamsala and Sandhole 12mm, and Bharari 11mm. Kangra Aero saw 9mm, Mandi 8mm, and Rajgrah, Shimla, and Bangana each had 7mm. Today, Keylong is the coolest place with a temperature of 19.3°C and a high chance of rain at 99%. Kufri is slightly warmer at 18.1°C and has an 83% chance of rain. Kangra is the hottest spot today at 27°C but with only a 1% chance of rain.

The roads throughout the area are mostly open and accessible, ensuring smooth travel. Keylong, Kaza, Sumdo, Tindi, Sissu, North Portal, and South Portal all have clear weather and passable roads. The route from SCP Darcha to Shinkula/Sarchu is subject to advisory conditions. Notably, the road from Losar to Gramphu remains closed, while other significant routes, including the ATR from North Portal to Darcha and the SKTT road from Tandi to Kadhu Nallah, are open. The Darcha-Shinkula-Padum-Kargil and Darcha-Sarchu roads are also open but should be navigated according to advisories.
