Himachal: Stone fell during road construction, one dead, two in critical condition

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Nahan(Sirmaur), May 05:A 20-year-old youth died on the spot after a sharp stone placed on the Jamta-Katal road in Sirmaur district headquarters of Himachal Pradesh suddenly slipped and fell, and the condition of two seriously injured youths is said to be critical in Nahan hospital. The police team has seized the body from the spot and postmortem is being conducted.

Police said that construction of Chakali to Shamshan Ghat road was going on under Jamta to Mahipur road.

 

In which JCB was also engaged. The JCB driver had taken out the stones and placed them on the side of the road.

Then, at 6 pm on Saturday evening, Ramchandra, Jagdeep Chauhan and JCB driver Dipanshu were walking on foot to reach the site. Suddenly, due to the stone slipping and falling down, Ramchandra, aged twenty years, son of Roop Singh, resident of village Kamlad tehsil Dadahu district Sirmaur, died on the spot.
