Glimpse Of Himachal Pradesh Weather Today: In Himachal Pradesh today, we expect a mix of clear sky will showcase a mix of clear blue expanses and intermittent clouds across the landscape. As dawn breaks, both residents and visitors will feel the crispness of the air, with temperatures hovering between 10 Degrees Celsius to 15 Degrees Celsius. Some valleys like Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti, and pockets of Chamba and Kullu might experience even cooler temperatures, dropping to about 5 Degrees Celsius. As the Sun climbs higher, temperatures are projected to ascend to a pleasant 20 -25 Degree Celsius across most regions of Himachal Pradesh.
The report says there is a chance of rainfall in some areas, especially in the evening, so it’s advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat if you plan to go outside. The mountainous region might sometimes experience gusty winds, reaching speeds of up to 20-25 km/h. and weather report also says there will be snowfall in some regions so be careful while travelling.

Himachal Pradesh Weather : What is the condition of the Weather in the past 24 hours?
In the past 24 hrs, The area of lower Hills like districts Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, and lower part of Mandi, Solan, and Sirmour have rainfall in many places. And the area of the Middle Hills like some parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Mandi rainfall is observed in most places and tomorrow as well there is a chance of rainfall in many places in these hills. Whereas, in areas of High Hills like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, and some parts of Chamba and Kullu rainfall along with mild snowfall was observed and tomorrow this remains the same. In the upcoming 5 days, there is a chance of heavy rainfall in all the areas of Himachal Pradesh. But there is no large change in the minimum and maximum temperature during the last 24 hours. The average minimum and maximum temperatures were normal. Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong = 2.9 degrees Celsius and yesterday’s highest temperature at Bilaspur=35.5 degrees Celsius which is less than yesterday’s maximum temperature. The Western Disturbance, i.e., disturbance caused due to storms that originate in the Caspian or Mediterranean Sea and bring Non-monsoonal monsoon in the Northern part of the state, and Himachal Pradesh is part of the Northern part of India. Is a cyclonic circulation over Iran & neighborhood between 3.1 & 12.6 km above sea level roughly along a long 55 degrees east to the north of latitude 26 degrees north. A fresh Western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from 18th April 2024.

Today the chief amount of snowfall is traced in the area of Koksar. and chief amount of Rainfall is observed at Kothi ( 9.4mm), Manali ( 7.0mm ), Sadar ( 5.4mm ), Dalhousie ALHA AWS ( 5.0mm), Jot ( 4.2), Chamba AWS ( 3.0mm), Bhuntar (2.5mm), Kathaula ( 2.1mm), Palampur( 2.0mm), Sarahan ( 2.0mm), Kandhaghat (1.4mm), Dharamsala (1.4mm), Kahu (1.2mm), Kukumsheri AWS (1.1mm), Sundernagar ( 1.1mm), Arki (1.0mm), Bajura AWS (1.0mm), Kufri AWS( 1.0mm), Bilaspur AWS (0.5mm), Barthin ( 0.4mm), Keylong (0.4mm), Kotkhari (0.1mm), and in Sangla ( 0.1mm).

Himachal Pradesh Weather : Road and Weather Conditions Update: Lahaul & Spiti Region, April 14, 2024:-
According to the weather and road status provided by Lahaul & Spiti police on 14 April until 0800 hrs. There are several observations and updates on the weather conditions and road statuses across various districts of Himachal Pradesh. Areas of Keylong, Kaza, and Sumdo experience cloudy weather conditions as we know that a cloudy sky often indicates that the region will covered with clouds. Which leads to diffused sunlight and cooler temperatures across this area of Himachal Pradesh. Despite the cloudy weather, the road status is reported as “ Through” which means these roads are open for traveling. So visitors and Residents of this area can do their daily work easily. The areas of Udaipur and Tindi similar to the areas of Keylong, Kaza, and Sumdo experience cloudy weather again despite cloudy weather These areas are marked “Through” which means these roads are open for traveling without any obstacles. Also, the residents and visitors of this area will not face any difficulty due to harsh weather conditions or road blockage. These roads are opened till another order is passed by the District Disaster Management Authority of Himachal Pradesh. As per the report published on 12th April Surrender Paul, the director of the Meteorological Center at Shimla attributed the shift in weather conditions between 13th April to 15th April 2024.
The area of Sisu, North Portal, or South Portal experiences Rainfall and rainfall that leads to wet or slippery road conditions. However, despite the rain, the road status is reported as “Through” which means these roads are also open for visitors and residents to travel. And in these areas of Himachal Pradesh visitors and Residents will also not suffer due to road blockage. These roads are also opened till further orders are passed by the District Disaster Management Authority of Himachal Pradesh.
The area of SCP Darcha experienced light snowfall according to the report published by Lahaul & Spiti police. This might affect the road conditions of this area, especially in mountainous regions where snow accumulation may occur. The road status is marked “As per Advisory” indicating that the traveler should proceed with proper care and caution by following the advisory report passed by the concerned authority of that particular area. as per the report published on the 11th of April, the police checkpost at Darcha was open to boost the security of the state which is the primary concern of state affairs. and also to maintain law and order in the state. This weather condition might affect this area.
The report given by Lahaul & Spiti police provides specific remarks regarding road conditions and accessibility to different areas. like ATR North Portal to Darcha road is open, SKTT from Tandi to Kadhu Nullah is open, Darcha to Shinkula road is open, these roads are open till the further Order of Indian meteorological department. This may be closed due to displacement in weather conditions in the upcoming 2 -3 days. whereas, Darcha to Sarchu Road and Grampu to Lossal Road are closed due to unfavorable weather conditions. In these areas. these roads are closed till further orders of the Indian metrological department.

According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department of India, In Shimla, there is the possibility of light to moderate precipitation at many places accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty wind ( 30-40 km) at isolated places with a temperature of 19Degrees Celsius. And in areas of Satluj and Beas, there is also a chance of light to moderate precipitation at many places. In the area of Ranjit Nagar, there is a chance of light precipitation in a few places. There is the possibility of light to moderate precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty wind( 30-40 kmph) at isolated places in districts of Shimla, Solan, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra, and Kullu. There is a chance of light to moderate precipitation in many places accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places in the districts of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur.
Ministry of Earth Science and India Meteorological Department center at Shimla issued a warning for the weather of Himachal Pradesh for the next 5 days between these days there are chances of Heavy rainfall, Thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning, gusty winds ( 40-50 km), and hail at isolated places of Himachal Pradesh. According to Surrender Paul, Director of the Meteorological Department at Shimla thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to be experienced by residents and visitors at many places in Himachal Pradesh.
