Reported & Written By Neha Singh, Diary Times, Sirmour, April 08: Light rain occurred at the Middle Hills and the area of High Hills faces light Rains along with snowfall. But there is no large change in the minimum and maximum temperature during the last 24 hours. The average minimum temperature was below normal whereas, the maximum temperature was normal.

Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong is -1.5 degrees Celcius and the highest temperature was recorded at Una is 36.2 degrees Celcius.

What is Chief Amount of Snowfall and Rainfall ?

Snowfall (cm)– Nil

Rainfall(mm)– Tinder (10.0), Chhatrari (8.5), Rampur & Bushar (7 each), Sangla (6.2), Wangtoo (5.2), Bhabha nagar (5.0), Kalpa (5.0), Reckong Peo (2.5), Kotkhai(1.3), Sarahan(1.0), Sainj(1.0), Kukumaseri(0.5).

While Precipitation in Himachal Pradesh during March was weak on many days with four days of widespread vigorous activity. But rainfall during April 2024, averaged, is more likely to be normal (88-112% OF LPA) normal to above normal rainfall is likely over most of northwest India.

Darcha – Shinkula Zanskar Road –

Today the road is opened but The Deputy Commissioner of Lahaul and Spiti ordered in the public interest that on 10th April 2024, One-way traffic for 4X4 vehicles shall be allowed between 07:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs only from Darcha towards Shrinkula (Zanskar).

However, the vehicle movement followed on alternative days starting from 10-04-2024 and on this day traffic movement will be allowed from Darcha towards Shrinkula. But it should be noted that in case of Rainfall/Snowfall vehicles won’t be permitted to pass. And Tourists and Travellers after complying with the above mentioned conditions, will be travelling at their own risk. Due to prevailing inclement weather in the valley and the possibility of avalanches/Rockfall, travelers are advised to be very cautious while traveling in the valley. In case of snowfall, they are requested to move and stay in a safe place.

  • Sundernagar: 20.3 Degree Celsius with 41% chance of precipitation.
  • Kangra: 18 Degree Celsius with no chances of precipitation.
  • Chamba:19 Degree Celsius with 51% chance of precipitation.
