Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today launched the integrated consumer portal of the State Electricity Board on the occasion of Engineer’s Day in Shimla.
Through this portal, consumers will not have to stand in long queues to pay their electricity bills, they can sit at home.
Only then will you be able to pay the bill.
Apart from this, application for new electricity connection can also be made on this portal and consumers will be able to monitor the progress of their application on the portal itself.
The Chief Minister said that this portal is an important step towards increasing consumer convenience and promoting digitalization in the energy sector.
He said that engineers have made invaluable contribution in the development of the infrastructure of the state.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that at the time of the disaster, due to the dedicated efforts of the actors of various departments, the government temporarily restored the essential services within forty-eight hours.
He said that due to the natural disaster, road, electricity and water supply schemes in the state have so far been disrupted.
There has been a loss of more than a thousand crore rupees.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is making efforts towards making the state a green energy state by March 31, 2026 and engineers will play an important role in achieving the target.
