A total of 824 cases of fierce fire in the forests of Himachal Pradesh have been registered, after the initial assessment of all 824 cases of fire by the forest department team, a loss of Rs 2.5 crore has been reported.

The most cases of fierce fire have been registered in the forests adjoining the Dharamshala circle of Himachal Pradesh Forest Department.

While addressing the press conference, Chief Forest Officer Munish Parwari of Forest Protection and Fire Control by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department said that In Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala, Hamirpur, Mandi as well as the areas where pine trees are found in the adjoining forests, due to the increasing effect of heatwave, pine leaves catch fire quickly, due to which incidents of fierce fire are taking a horrific form every day.

Munish Parwari said that in whichever area or forest of Himachal Pradesh, fierce fire is being reported, in that area, full efforts are being made by the joint teams of Forest Department and Fire Department to control the fierce fire.

He said that due to the local people of many areas not being able to control the fire and due to the lack of full cooperation of the joint teams of Forest Department and Fire Department, a loss of lakhs has been reported due to fierce fire in the forests of the said area.

Munish Parwari has also appealed to the people of Himachal Pradesh to cooperate fully with the joint teams of the fire department to control the fierce fire that has broken out in the forests.
