Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 01: Working President of Himachal Pradesh Congress and current MLA of Dharampur assembly constituency of Mandi district, Chander Shekhar has said that former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Current BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur has humiliated the family of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal by entering Rajinder Rana in BJP.
MLA Chander Shekhar said that in the 2017 assembly elections, Rajinder Rana contested on the Congress symbol and defeated BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal. Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party having majority in the assembly elections, Prem Kumar Dhumal missed out on getting the post of Chief Minister.
Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar said that ‘Accidental Chief Minister’ Jairam Thakur did not go to meet Prem Kumar Dhumal even once after assuming the post of Chief Minister, but now before the by-election, BJP Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur remembered the Dhumal family.
Chander Shekhar said that the people of Hamirpur district have still not forgotten the ill-treatment meted out to former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his family during the tenure of the previous Jairam Thakur led BJP government.

Chander Shekhar said that while holding the post of Chief Minister, Jairam Thakur did not do any development work of Prem Kumar Dhumal and gave priority to the development work of Rajinder Rana. Not only this, Rajinder Rana’s entry into BJP happened despite the opposition of the Dhumal family.
Chander Shekhar said that the relations between Rajinder Rana and the Dhumal family are in front of the people of Hamirpur district, but despite this, BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur has hurt the self-respect of the Dhumal family and insulted former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.

Chander Shekhar said that in the last six years, BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur did not even once visit the house of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal to inquire about his condition. Now that Prem Kumar Dhumal’s opponent Rajinder Rana has joined BJP, Jairam Thakur’s love for Prem Kumar Dhumal has suddenly awakened. Himachal Pradesh Congress working president Chander Shekhar said that Rajinder Rana had insulted Prem Kumar Dhumal at every step in the last 11 years after leaving the BJP.

Although Rajinder Rana calls Prem Kumar Dhumal his political guru, it is also true that the disciple himself remained engaged in cutting the roots of the guru for 11 years. Chander Shekhar said that now after joining BJP, under what compulsion is Rajinder Rana roaming around Hamirpur.
Chander Shekhar said that the people of Hamirpur are intelligent and are not going to come under the influence of Rajinder Rana again and again. The real face of Rajinder Rana is in front of the voters because by joining BJP, Rajinder Rana has shown opportunistic politics. The people of Sujanpur assembly constituency will give a befitting reply to the politics of Aaya Ram-Gaya Ram and the defeat of Rajinder Rana in the by-election is certain.
Chander Shekhar said that the Congress party will make a clean sweep in the assembly by-elections being held on six seats and will hoist the flag of victory.
Chander Shekhar also said that BJP’s money power politics will end in Himachal Pradesh through people’s voting power.
