Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 23: Six disqualified Congress rebel MLAs Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Ravi Thakur, Inderdutt Lakhanpal, Davinder Bhutto and Chaitanya Sharma have joined the BJP. Along with this, three independents Ashish Sharma, KL Thakur and Hoshyar Singh have also joined BJP. On Saturday, all the rebels joined BJP in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal in New Delhi. Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan was also present. It is being told that these disqualified MLAs had agreed to join the BJP in the meeting held with the BJP high command on Thursday night. Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan and BJP state president Rajiv Bindal were present in the meeting. The rebel MLAs had authorized Rana to hold talks with the BJP.

According to party sources, there was an in-depth discussion in the meeting regarding withdrawal of petition of disqualified MLAs in the Supreme Court, joining BJP and future politics. According to party sources, BJP may soon declare six candidates for Kangra and Mandi Lok Sabha elections and six candidates for the assembly by-elections. Regarding this, Rajinder Rana said that everything was decided after the meeting with BJP National President JP Nadda.
There is no legal obstacle in withdrawing the petition filed in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Assembly Speaker. At the same time, three independents are also likely to join BJP soon. Barsar and Sujanapur Block Congress Committees dissolved
On the other hand, after the rebels joined BJP, after the approval of Rajiv Shukla, member of All India Congress Working Committee, in-charge of state affairs, State Congress President Pratibha Singh has dissolved the Barsar and Sujanapur Block Congress Committees of Hamirpur district with immediate effect.
