HP POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 08 :Himachal Pradesh Police is going to recruit more than 1226 constables, for which all preparations have been speeded up by the Himachal Pradesh government.Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is going to recruit more than 1226 constables.Let us tell you that the Home Department of Himachal Pradesh Government had issued a notification for the recruitment of 1226 constable posts in January 2024, but due to the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, the police recruitment process could not start after the Model Code of Conduct came into force.
Now after the removal of the Model Code of Conduct in Himachal Pradesh, all preparations have been done to start recruitment for more than 1226 constable posts in Himachal Pradesh Police.
The application process for recruitment to more than 1226 constable posts in Himachal Pradesh Police is going to be notified soon by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Under all the new rules made by the Himachal Pradesh Government, more than 1226 constable posts are going to be recruited in Himachal Pradesh Police.Under the new rules, 30 percent reservation will be given to women in constable recruitment.Earlier, 25 percent reservation was given to women in police recruitment.Under the new rules, the height for constable recruitment should be 5.6 feet for general category men and 5.4 feet for reserved category men.Also, under the new rules, the height of general category women should be 5.2 feet for constable recruitment and 5 feet for reserved category women.
It is worth noting that Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is going to recruit more than 1226 constable posts in Himachal Pradesh Police. Out of more than 1226 posts, 818 posts have been reserved for men while 351 posts have been reserved for women and 57 posts have been reserved for drivers.
Direct recruitment for more than 1226 posts of constable in Himachal Pradesh Police is going to be done by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.Under Himachal Pradesh Constable Recruitment, 46 posts of male constable and 19 posts of female constable and three posts of driver are to be filled from Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.Along with this, 62 posts of male constable and 27 posts of female constable and four posts of driver are to be filled from Chamba district.54 posts of male constable and 23 posts of female constable and four posts of driver will be filled from Hamirpur district.180 posts of male constable and 77 posts of female constable and 12 posts of driver will be filled from Kangra district.
Notification has been issued for filling 10 posts of male constable and four posts of female constable and one post of driver from Kinnaur district, 52 posts of male constable and 22 posts of female constable and four posts of driver from Kullu district, 4 posts of male constable and two posts of female constable from Lahaul Spiti district, 119 posts of male constable and 51 posts of female constable and eight posts of driver from Mandi district.
Apart from this, 97 posts of male constable and 42 posts of female constable and seven posts of driver will be filled in Shimla district.
63 posts of male constable and 27 posts of female constable and five posts of driver will be filled in Sirmaur district, 69 posts of male constable and 30 posts of female constable and five posts of driver will be filled in Solan district, 62 posts of male constable and 27 posts of female constable and four posts of driver will be filled in Una district.
