Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, March 16: Vigilance has succeeded in seizing 22 bags of government cement kept in a house in Ambota village of Gagret sub-division. The Vigilance team has also recovered three burnt empty bags of government cement from the house. In this regard, the Vigilance Bureau has named two people, registered a case and started further action.

Vigilance had received secret information that bags of government cement were hidden in a house in Ambota village. On the basis of this information, on Friday, when the Bureau team under the leadership of Inspector Naresh Kumar posted in the Una office of Vigilance Bureau raided the said house in Ambota village, construction work was going on there. During this time, when the team investigated the store of the house, 22 bags of government cement kept hidden there were recovered while three empty cement bags were burnt.

During interrogation of the house owner, it was revealed that he had taken these cement bags from a government contractor. On which the Vigilance team also detained the said contractor and interrogated him. The Vigilance Bureau team is trying to find out for which government construction work the said cement was approved and how it reached here.
