Himachal News: Use of Universal Carton will Start in Packing, Each Box will have 20 kg Apples; Notification Issued

- Notification Issued To Use Universal Carton In Apple Packing In Himachal.
Use of universal carton is going to be started in Himachal Pradesh from the apple season of 2024. Notification regarding Universal Carton has been issued by Himachal Agriculture Department. The use of universal carton was also announced by CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in the budget yesterday.

According to the notification issued by Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Department, 20 kg apples per box are going to be packed in universal carton. To prepare necessary guidelines in this direction, a committee has been already formed in December 2023 under the chairmanship of Secretary, Agriculture. The gardeners of the state had been demanding universal carton from the Himachal Pradesh government for a long time.
