He wrote on the social media platform – “I had the honor of receiving his blessings for years. I can never forget my visit to Chandragiri Jain Temple in Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh late last year. Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj: Indore in Madhya Pradesh is the only city where Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj spent most of his saintly life. In his 56 years of ascetic life, he spent more than 10 months in Indore city. After a long wait of 19 years, in the year 2020, Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj arrived in Ahilya’s city Indore. During this period, the good fortune of the devotees of Indore was such that they got the company of the Guru for more than 300 days.

Half day holiday declared –
On the demise of Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, half-day holiday has been declared by the Madhya Pradesh government. During this period the national flag will remain at half mast and state functions and programs will not be organised.
Due to Corona infection, Indore got the good fortune of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj –
When Acharya Vidyasagar came to Indore in the year 2020, there was a lockdown due to Corona. Because of this, the people of Indore were able to get this love of Guru. Jain community members say that Indore got this good fortune because of immense affection towards the Guru.
Gave up his body at Chandragiri Tirtha –
Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj left his body at 2:35 pm on Saturday at Chandragiri Tirtha (chandragiri dongargarh jain temple) located in Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh.
Acharya of Digambara Muni tradition has renounced the post of Acharya in a state of full awareness. After this, he fasted for three days and observed unbroken silence. After this he gave up his life. After receiving the news of his demise, people of Jain community have started gathering in Dongargarh. His last rites are scheduled to take place today at 1 pm.
PM Modi also came to meet Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj –
Last year on November 5, PM Modi reached Dongargarh and took the blessings of Muni Shri. Then he wrote on social media that I feel blessed to have the blessings of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar ji.
The first film also came in Indore city –
The first show of the film ‘Antaryatri Mahapurush-The Walking God’ based on the life of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj was also held in Indore.
After this it was demonstrated nationwide. The first show of this film, produced under the banner of Shiromani Creations, was held at Kastur Cinema, Indore. The film premiered at the famous Rajmandir cinema hall in Jaipur. All the three-day shows of the film in Indore were housefull.
Diwali is celebrated on incarnation day –
The birth day of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj, the greatest saint of Digambar Jain community, falls on Sharad Purnima. Devotees celebrate this day with great enthusiasm in Indore. Many programs are organized across the city on this occasion. Diwali is celebrated on this day in Neminagar Jain Colony. In Jain Colony, Rangoli is made in the courtyard of the house by decorating with attractive lamps and electricity.
Say Bharat not India –
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sir Sanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi had met Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj in Indore itself. During this, he presented quince to Acharya Shri and took his blessings. Everyone discussed topics like Hindi and handloom. A memorandum was submitted to the Sangh chief demanding to speak Bharat, not India.
