However, due to road collapses and landslides at many places, traffic is also getting disrupted again and again, in such an emergency people traveling between Shimla and Chandigarh can take the help of alternative routes.

Similarly, traffic on Chandigarh-Manali road via Katola and left bank in Kullu has also been restored last night. Due to heavy rains, floods and landslides in the state, 873 roads including one national highway are still closed.

Apart from this, one thousand nine hundred and fifty six electric transformers and one thousand three hundred and sixty nine drinking water schemes are also stalled.
