Shimla- It has now become difficult for all the employees in Shimla State Secretariat and all the government offices of Himachal Pradesh to come to office wearing jeans and T-shirt. Orders have been issued for strict action if any kind of order is violated.
If any government employee is found wearing jeans, T-shirt and all other types of western non-formal clothes by the officers and employees working in the government offices of all the districts including the State Secretariat located in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, then action will be taken against their post. Strict punitive action will be taken as per the orders of Himachal Pradesh Government and Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The Government of Himachal Pradesh has prohibited all officers and employees working in other government offices of all the twelve districts including the State Secretariat in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, from wearing jeans, T-shirt and any other type of western non-formal clothes while coming to the office. If found, punitive action will be taken against them.
All the officers and employees working in Himachal Pradesh High Court and all other courts of the state will also have to come to office wearing formal dress as per the rules of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Also, all Class IV employees working in Himachal Pradesh will have to come to office wearing uniform as per the rules of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Himachal Pradesh Principal Secretary General Administration Department Bharat Kheda has issued an important circular order regarding this order.
In this circular of the Government of Himachal Pradesh, it has been made clear that orders were issued by the Himachal Pradesh High Court in the year 2017 in relation to all government employees and officers.
After which Himachal Pradesh Personnel Department prepared guidelines for all the departments and issued these orders, under which information regarding dress code was circulated in all the departments.
It was also clarified in this circulation that all the government officers and Deputy Commissioner employees in Himachal Pradesh will be prohibited from entering the government offices of Himachal Pradesh only by wearing formally neat and clean looking and correct colored clothes.
Also, all the employees appearing in the Himachal Pradesh High Court and all other courts of the state will have to come to the office wearing formal and appropriate clothes.
According to this circular of Himachal Pradesh High Court, it has also been said in this important order that if all these guidelines are not being followed properly.
Besides, Class IV employees of Himachal Pradesh were also not attending offices properly dressed. Whereas the uniform has already been decided for all Class IV employees of Himachal Pradesh.
The style of dress of all the officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh plays an important role in maintaining professionalism, serious style and enforcing the rules of discipline in the offices.
Due to which all the officers and employees of the State Secretariat located in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, have been asked to comply with the circular and guidelines of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Also, if any kind of negligence is done by all the employees and officers regarding this circular of Himachal Pradesh High Court, then punitive action will be taken against all those employees and officers.
Provisions and rules have been mentioned by the Himachal Pradesh High Court in the Conduct Rules for all these punitive proceedings.
Now all the Class IV employees working in Himachal Pradesh will have to wear only the uniform, which has been recognized as mandatory by the Himachal Pradesh Government.
