Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 03After the successful completion of voting process for four Lok Sabha seats and six assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, June 1, big breaking news is coming out before the counting of votes on Tuesday, June 4.
The resignations of three independent MLAs have been accepted by the Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
The three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh are Krishan Lal Thakur, Hoshyar Singh and Ashish Sharma.
It is worth noting that after the resignations of all the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh on March 22, they took membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party on March 23.The three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh had also staged a sit-in protest in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat when their resignations were not accepted.
On 30th April, the Himachal Pradesh High Court had not given a final decision after completing the hearing on the matter of accepting the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh.
With the acceptance of the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh, it has become clear that by-elections are going to be held once again in the three assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, Nalagarh, Dehra and Hamirpur. At present, the number of assembly members in Himachal Pradesh has reached 59.After the counting of votes in the by-elections of six assembly constituencies on Tuesday, June 4, the number of assembly members in Himachal Pradesh is going to become 65.
If reliable sources of Diary Times are to be believed, the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh has very wisely accepted the resignations of the three independents. If the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh were accepted before the voting of the Lok Sabha elections, then the voting process would have been completed in a total of 9 assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, June 1.If the Congress party loses all the six assembly by-elections in the results to be released on Tuesday, June 4, then the Congress party will definitely have another chance to remain in power by winning one seat in the by-elections to be held in the assembly constituencies of the three independent MLAs.
Let us tell you that the entire political situation had worsened after the cross voting done by the six MLAs of the Congress party in the Rajya Sabha elections of Himachal Pradesh. In the Rajya Sabha elections of Himachal Pradesh, the six MLAs of the Congress party and the three independent MLAs voted in favor of the BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan, taking the figure to 34-34.After the numbers were equal, BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan won the toss system and changed the entire history.
In the political situation that happened on 27 February, the ruling Sukhu government of the Congress party was completely on the back foot.Former Chief Minister and BJP Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has made it clear in the Lok Sabha election campaign that the Bharatiya Janata Party government is going to be formed in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, 4 June.In a telephonic conversation with Diary Times Media Network, Himachal Pradesh Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma said that the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh have finally been accepted.
