Himachal News: Preparation To Give Rs 15 Lakh Each To Asiad Medal Winners, Approval Sought From Finance Department.

Shimla- Complete preparations to give fifteen lakh rupees to each of the winning players of Himachal Pradesh who won medals in the Asiad Games competition have been started after the approval of the Finance Department of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Himachal Pradesh Sports Department has sent this proposal regarding the provisions of giving prize money in the entire sports policy of Himachal Pradesh state. This entire amount will be released in Himachal Pradesh on 25th January, the statehood day, and on 15th April, Himachal Pradesh Day, in the entire Himachal Pradesh.
All the women players who win medals in the Asiad Games will get an amount of fifteen lakh rupees.
Himachal Pradesh Sports Department has obtained approval from the Finance Department of Himachal Pradesh Government to give fifteen lakh rupees each to all the gold medal winning players of Himachal Pradesh in the Asian Games.
Himachal Pradesh Sports Department has presented this proposal to the Finance Department of Himachal Pradesh Government regarding the provisions of giving prize money while rewarding the medal winning players in the sports policy of the entire state of Himachal Pradesh.
This amount will be released to all the medal winning players on the occasion of Complete Statehood Day of Himachal Pradesh on 25th January and Himachal Pradesh Day on 15th April.
Himachal Pradesh government will distribute a cash prize amount of more than one crore rupees to all the medal winning Himachali players of the Asian Games recently held in Hangzhou city of China.
In the Asian Games held in Hangzhou city of China from 29th September to 8th October, six medal winning players from entire Himachal Pradesh added to India’s medal tally and seven other medal winning Himachali players participating in various sports were also given a prize of Rs 1 crore. More funds will be provided.
In the women’s category from Himachal Pradesh, Indian women’s Kabaddi team captain Ritu Negi of Sirmaur district along with Pushpa and Sushma Kumari of Sirmaur district, Kumari Nidhi Sharma of Bilaspur district, Jyoti Kumari of Solan district and Vishal Bhardwaj of Una district all in the men’s category. The player has been a member of the gold medal-winning team at the Asian Games.
All these six players from Himachal Pradesh will be honored with a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh each.
Whereas in the women’s category in the Asian Games, Deeksha Kumari, Priyanka Thakur and Shalini Thakur of Bilaspur district, Nidhi Sharma, Mithali Sharma, Bhavana and Maneka of Solan district had won medals while representing India in the handball competition.
All these seven handball medal winning players will be provided an incentive amount of Rs 1 lakh each by the Himachal Pradesh government.
Apart from this, on behalf of Himachal Pradesh Youth Services and Sports Department, all the three players Renuka Thakur, Vikas Thakur and Ashish Kumar, who won medals in the Commonwealth Games in 2022, have also been awarded an amount of Rs. sixty-three lakhs Will be Awarded by the Himachal Pradesh Government.
