Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the online foundation stone of three critical care blocks of Himachal Pradesh from Rajkot, the capital of Gujarat. Rs 17.36 crore each is going to be spent on these three blocks. A six-floor building will be built in one block, which will have a facility of 50 beds.

PM Modi on Sunday virtually laid the foundation stone of the three Critical Care Blocks for Tanda Medical College in Kangra district, Nerchowk in Mandi district and Una district of Himachal Pradesh from Rajkot, the capital of Gujarat. PM Modi has also flagged off three food safety testing mobile laboratory labs for Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla districts. Critical patients are going to get immediate treatment in the critical care block. All the modern facilities available in case of emergency are going to be available in the Critical Care Block. On this occasion, Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur participated in the program as the chief guest in the auditorium of Ner Chowk Medical College and expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for these gifts.

Addressing the gathering, Jairam Thakur said that PM Modi and the Central Government have given excellent health services to Himachal Pradesh rapidly and without any discrimination. He said that when Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya came here, he had asked for a Critical Care Block, the foundation stone of which was laid by PM Modi. He visited the mobile food testing lab and learned about the functioning of the lab from departmental assistant commissioner LD Thakur. Through this lab, food samples can be tested in various ways on the spot and the report will also be available immediately. There will be three mobile food testing labs worth about Rs 1.5 crore for three districts.

On this occasion, former minister and MLA Anil Sharma along with Jairam Thakur, Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jambal, Nachan MLA Vinod Kumar, MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, Surendra Shourie, Dalip Thakur, Dr. Janakraj, Deepraj, Jeetram Katwal, Joint Secretary Health Ministry India. Government E. Robert Singh, BJP spokesperson Ajay Rana, Mandi BJP District President Nihal Chand Sharma, Mandi BJP District Council President Pal Verma, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Apoorva Devgan, Mayor Mandi Virendra Bhatt, Executive Principal Dr. Rajesh Bhawani and others were present.
