Himachal News: PM Modi Flags Off 10 New Vande Bharat Railways In The Country
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 12: Former Himachal Pradesh BJP President and MP from Shimla parliamentary constituency Suresh Kashyap participated in the program of modernization of Indian Railways organized at Shimla Railway Station. Suresh Kashyap said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of several railway projects worth more than Rs 85 thousand crore across the country and dedicated them to the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone of railway workshops, loco sheds, pit lines/coaching depots. PM Modi today flagged off 10 new Vande Bharat Railways in the country.

MP Suresh Kashyap said that the rail service in Shimla is the oldest rail service and the purpose of rail tourism is fulfilled from the point of view of Shimla. He said that it is the resolve of our Central Government that there will be no shortage of budget for the construction of strategically important Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri, Nangal Dam-Talwara and Chandigarh-Baddi railway lines. The Central Government has made a provision of Rs 2,500 crore for the three railway lines of Himachal in the interim budget. Of these, maximum Rs 1700 crore will be available for Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri rail line. Nangal Dam-Talwara will get Rs 500 crore and Chandigarh-Baddi will get Rs 300 crore. Among these, Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri railway line is prominent.

In the budget of 2023-24, Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri rail line had got a budget of one thousand crores, but considering its expenditure, it has been revised to Rs. 1399 crores. Nangal Dam-Talwara had received Rs 450 crore in the last budget, which is being spent entirely in this financial year. Chandigarh-Baddi also got Rs 450 crore in the last budget. Only about Rs 165 crore has been spent on this project so far. Rs 500 crore more will be available. With the provision of budget for all three railway lines, their work will now gain further momentum. In Himachal, the work of 63 kilometer Bhanupalli-Bilaspur railway line, about 84 kilometer Nangal Dam-Talwara, 33 kilometer Baddi-Chandigarh railway line is in full swing. An additional budget provision of Rs 24 crore has been made for two railway lines of the Himachal.
Suresh Kashyap said that Congress leaders are trying to take credit for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Himachal Pradesh. This is also happening in Shimla where Congress government ministers are trying to loot the people there by putting up their placards. Actually, when the work of Phase 3 of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is completed, the name of the MP of the area should also be on the plaque, but this is not happening at some places, it is unfortunate. We would like to directly tell the public that all the inaugurations being done by the Congress government are the work of the former Bharatiya Janata Party government. Railway officers Sandeep Dhawal, Himanshu, Gurpreet Singh, BJP officials Karan Nanda, Prem Thakur, Sunil Dhar, Sanjay Sood, Gaurav Kashyap and Tarun were present.
