An MoU was signed between Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg and cyclist Jaspreet Pal on behalf of the State Election Department here on Monday.

Jaspreet Pal is a cyclist as well as a professional photographer. Apart from this, he has also made incomparable contribution in social concerns like child literacy, environmental protection.

While interacting with Jaspreet Pal the Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg also suggested organizing a cycle relay rally in Himachal for voter awareness.

Earlier, while talking to the media, the Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg said that till now Jaspreet Pal has covered a distance of about 21 thousand kilometers in various difficult terrains and has won the Fire Fox Challenge Cycling Championship.

Apart from this, Jaspreet Pal has secured second place in the MTB Championship in 2021.

Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg said that the decision to make Jaspreet Pal a state Election icon is to include the urban and rural youth of the Himachal in the election process.
